Lucky Charms is a beloved breakfast cereal created by General Mills in 1964. Known for its mix of frosted toasted oat pieces and colorful marshmallow shapes ("marbits"), it features a leprechaun mascot named Lucky.
I Collaborate with Angela Lu to rebrand and develop the package design, including the mascot illustration and product photography.
Personal Project Not Affiliated with Lucky Charms
ConceptWe want to retain the recognizable identity of Lucky Charms while evolving it to be more modern and playful. This includes updating the design elements to reflect contemporary aesthetics, enhancing the mascot's appearance to make it more engaging and appealing, and incorporating vibrant colors and dynamic visuals.

Mascot Illustration
Modernize “Lucky’s” appearance into a friendlier, more approachable style that would appeal to today’s consumer.
Process
Photography RetouchI used Photoshop to perfect the shapes of the marshmallow bits (marbits) and clean up imperfections, creating a polished and appetizing visual.
Define Moment
The defining moment of this project was improving my Adobe Illustrator skills by retouching the Lucky Charms logo. This process allowed me to refine its details, ensuring it aligned seamlessly with the updated brand identity while enhancing its playful and iconic appeal. Several explorations of the mascot illustration helped me refine its design and colors, further elevating its whimsical and engaging character to resonate with the brand’s audience.
